All professional industries must advocate on their own behalf, and advocacy tools & techniques require training. AcuCongress was formed to help support state & national acupuncture organizations, acupuncture schools and their students, and individual licensed acupuncturists gain the skills to launch sustainable influence campaigns together. AcuCongress succeeded in training hundreds of National Acuvists™ during the 117th Congressional Session and are excited to train thousands more as we head into the 118th! Whether you've taken part in federal or state advocacy before, we invite you to join us as we seek federal designation inside the Social Security Act.

Acupuncture services are currently covered by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS,) however; Licensed Acupuncturists are not covered in the Social Security Act (SSA.) Along with Medicare inclusion, we also seek to expand the services that are considered for federal healthcare reimbursement to include techniques and services that are branded under physical medicine codes but have roots in Traditional Asian Medicine, including heat therapies, movement and massage therapies, herbal medicine, and recognizes our differential diagnoses through Evaluation & Management codes.

We want to see our medicine, PRACTICED BY CLINICALLY TRAINED LICENSED ACUPUNCTURISTS WITH MASTERS/DOCTORAL LEVEL DEGREES OF EDUCATION FROM ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS, everywhere.

We believe that patient-centered care will benefit from the addition of practitioners of Traditional Asian Medicine, a globally recognized and practiced Whole-Health system of medicine and won't stop until we see the expansion of our services PERFORMED BY OUR PRACTITIONERS in emergency departments, substance use centers, long-term care facilities, traumatic brain injury centers, and in rural & underserved populations nationwide.

We have nearly three decades of experience in successful direct and grassroots lobbying, trade association management, regulatory action committee work, public commentary, Congressional briefings and health fairs. We know the value of an industry trained in rapid-response advocacy. We are committed to training every interested current and prospective member of the profession while providing state associations with the legislative & regulatory tracking & monitoring of all ancillary acupuncture-related efforts. AcuCongress will work with state and national advocacy committees to create and implement strategies and provide well-trained Acuvists™ to ANY advocacy effort they want to mount.
